In porting a web application that successfully used the mcrypt encryption functions, from PHP4 to
PHP5.0.3 on a WinXP IIS5.1 server and I'm getting hung up due to the issue described at:
http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=29172
In short, suddenly mdecrypt_generic() fails.
The solution would seem easy enough, upgrade to the latest libmcrypt.dll, only this version does not
work with IIS5. The result, PHP 5 does not load the php_mcrypt.dll extension when the new
libmcrypt.dll (2.5.7) is in my system32 folder. But based on the above comment, this apparently
works in IIS6. My problem is I'm stuck using WinXP...
Has anyone else solved this issue or can anyone direct me to any help or documentation (or a work
around to the issue above issue) I'd be grateful.
Thanks much,
Jeff
