I retract my earlier statement about race conditions. If each web process follows the same order,
writing then reading, and are not forked (other than the popen) then there will not be race
conditions since they will be queued in the order they arrived. There is still a blocking problem
however.
hholzgra@php.net is apparently working on a bi-directional pipe function for a future release. The
bug number for that one is #15171. YEAH!
