to kangaroo232002 at yahoo dot co dot uk: As far as I understand, what you report is not a bug in strip_tags(), but a bug in your HTML. You should use alt='Go >' instead of alt='Go >'. I suppose your HTML diplays allright in browsers, but that does not mean it's correct.
