If you are installing through Windows installer and getting 404 error on Windows 2003 Server and IIS as web server you must do one additional step! In IIS Manager open Web Service Extensions click on the ?Add a new Web service extension...? link. Type extension name example: PHP, and Add as a Required file c:\php\php.exe (or proper installation directory on your machine) and enable the option ?set extension status Allowed?
