If your having problems getting mysqli to work on server 2003 / IIS6 / php5, I found that the mysqli extension appears to load libmysql.dll, so that needs to be accessible as well, the easiest way is to copy libmysql.dll to the same folder as php_mysqli. I had 3 dll,s and only 2 failed so I knew that the extension folder was picked up OK.
