I was able to get php5 to run with apache 2.1.3 as a DSO on NetBSD 2.0.
However, I did run in to one minor catch - the xml2-config file could not be found when I ran
./configure.
This is the error I saw:
Configuring extensions
checking whether to enable LIBXML support... yes
checking libxml2 install dir... /usr/pkg/bin/
configure: error: xml2-config not found. Please check your libxml2 installation.
Here is what I did to fix the error:
# find / -name xml2-config
/usr/pkg/bin/xml2-config <- NetBSD specific file location
(probably has to be done as root)
#ln -s /usr/pkg/bin/xml2-config /usr/bin/xml2-config
After that, ./configure ran without any problems.
My httpd.conf file was properly edited by "# make install" for the LoadModule directive,
but I had to manually add the "AddType" directives.
#apachectl start
and viola! NetBSD 2.0/Apache 2.1.3/PHP5 up and running.
Regards,
CM
