As noted in the reactions below there are some characters that WILL break your cookie when used in a name for a value. In PHP 4.3.8 a period (.) will cause the cookie value to be ignored. When your cookie fails for no apparent reason, try changing the names of the cookie values you store to alphabethic characters only. Hope this saves someone the time I spent on debugging this. I was just thinking that this problem MIGHT be related to the fact that we're using UTF-8 as internal encoding for PHP. Could anyone comment on this? ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.setcookie.php Edit -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=edit+51581 Delete: added to the manual -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+51581&report=yes&reason=added+to+the+manual Delete: bad code -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+51581&report=yes&reason=bad+code Delete: spam -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+51581&report=yes&reason=spam Delete: useless -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+51581&report=yes&reason=useless Delete: other reasons -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+51581&report=yes Reject -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=reject+51581&report=yes Search -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
