I would like to point out that there is a function to replace ob_flush and flush. If you set ob_implicit_flush(true); at the top of the page it will automatically flush any echo or print you do in the rest of the script. Note that you still need a minimum amount of data to come through the browser filter. I would advice using str_pad($text,4096); since this automatically lenghtens the text with spaces to 4 KB which is the minimum limit when using FireFox and linux. I hope this helps you all out a bit. ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.flush.php Edit -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=edit+51679 Delete: added to the manual -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+51679&report=yes&reason=added+to+the+manual Delete: bad code -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+51679&report=yes&reason=bad+code Delete: spam -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+51679&report=yes&reason=spam Delete: useless -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+51679&report=yes&reason=useless Delete: other reasons -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+51679&report=yes Reject -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=reject+51679&report=yes Search -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
