Note Submitter: rod_man_7 at hotmail dot com ---- Hi there, Am just a beginner in PHP and MySQL and as all beginner am having problem with my codes. Ok let me explain. I've designed this page which take information from a form an send(post) to a database(SQL) and at the same time it send an email through with all these data to some specific email address. It was hosted on a webserver before and using a database on the same server. But now i've been asked to set my database on another server which is on a private network(its all in the same company) but it seems that i can't get access to it at all, i can connect to it manually using navicat and all that but but when it comes to passing these details into this database it doesn't work. I don't know if its the fact that you can't change server or you can't connect to databases on private network when you're passing data from the web, even though it all goes on within the company itself and knowing that i have all the password etc. Ok now my second problem is- i've moved everything onto this private network (server) whatever its called. And data is being saved into the database But no mail is being sent out. Would you b able to help please (that server uses PHP4.0) is there a different code to use? is use mail(string........etc) please help me. Thanks roddy.
