Just an advice for those who want to create image galleries and want to add a function to rotate pictures. The way this here works is always to decompress the picture, rotate it and compress it again. Therefore there _WILL_ always be a loss in quality. The more often you rotate the image the stronger the artefacts will be visible. Also using ImageMagick, if available does not help, as it also does not support lossless JPG manipulations. If you need a rotate function, ask your provider to install JPEGTRAN on the machine your server runs on and use the command line tool from your php application. ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.imagerotate.php Edit -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=edit+51798 Delete: added to the manual -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+51798&report=yes&reason=added+to+the+manual Delete: bad code -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+51798&report=yes&reason=bad+code Delete: spam -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+51798&report=yes&reason=spam Delete: useless -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+51798&report=yes&reason=useless Delete: other reasons -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+51798&report=yes Reject -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=reject+51798&report=yes Search -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
