hi all,
just a note, and maybe this is the wrong section to post this, but i was working for several hours
on a problem I was having .. i developed a web app on a server using php 4.1x.x and went to move it
to a server with php 5.x.x and was getting problems where the session varriables wouldn't pass
through, or seemingly ...
Come to find out, the session variables were passing through, i was using $_SESSION and NOT
session_is_registered, etc ... which is correct according to this article, but the problem was this
..
I was using $_SESSION['varname'] and the values wouldn't seemingly work, but then I
switched everything to $_SESSION["varname"] and now it all seems to work. not sure if
this is a change in PHP 5 or if this is a thing to set in php.ini, but it was frustrating to not
figure this out for several hours.
Hope this helps someone avoid lots of grief looking for an error, maybe there is an article about
the differences between ' and " ?
Peace ...
