note 51824 rejected from install.unix by betz

Note Submitter: anton at basehost dot net ---- I am failing to install PHP4 on AMD64 running Fedora 3 64-bit. The problem is with GD. I have installed all libjpeg, libjpeg-devel and gd itself. As it is 64-bit, they (libjpeg.a, libjpeg.so) is located in /usr/lib64. I am trying to run configuration with the following flags: LD_LIBRARY_PATH="-L/usr/lib64" LD_PATH="-L/usr/lib64" LDPATH="-L/usr/lib64" ./configure --with-gd --enable-exif --enable-ftp --with-mysqli=/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysql_config --with-apxs=/usr/local/apache/bin/apxs --enable-versioning --with-pear --with-jpeg --with-zlib --with-jpeg-dir=/usr/lib64 and at the end I get: configure: error: libjpeg.(a|so) not found. I also tried --with-jpeg-dir=/usr and other options.. Nothing works. The only option is to copy libjpeg.a and libpng.a to /usr/lib, but the make fails. I would appreciate any help...
