You obviously didn't read the whole (that means all sections, not just using 10 secs to get a
quick overview) installation instructions for PHP5 under win32.
Here's a quick primer, using Apache 2.0.53 and PHP 5.0.4:
1) Install Apache. Add the lines explained in the Apache 2 section of the PHP Manual to the
httpd.conf. Use the PHPIniDir setting!
2) Extract PHP5 to the directory you want.
3) Open up php.ini-recommended and uncomment the extensions you want. In this case just
php_mysql.dll is needed. Save the file as php.ini in your PHP folder.
4) Read the PATH instructions from the FAQ! The link is in the Windows instructions. Add your PHP
directory to PATH. This will mean that you won't have to copy any files, what so ever to your
Windows directory or any of its subdirectories.
5) Restart the system.
Did it work? Should have. :)
