Bei mir muste ich $fontfile entweder mit "./" vorher oder $DOCUMENT_ROOT eingeben. Hat
mich ne Ewigkeit gekostet bis ich das raus hatte :-)
Beispiel:
$fontfile = $DOCUMENT_ROOT."/layout/fonts/arialbd.ttf"
imagettftext($im,10,0,5,15,$farbe,$fontfile,"text");
