... is there no way to get the real- max-length of a field in postgreSQL?
how do i determine a field length (count of chars or size in byte) when i will know how the field is
set in the database if its a varchar or bpchar to make a info in php?
pg_field_prtlen ... gives the actual size of the field back (it counts the content inside - thats
not needed)
pg_filed_size ... can't be used for varchar or bpchar fields (allways -1)
has got somebody any useable answers to this (little) problem?
