----
I strongly suggest to complete documentation for this function, as it doesn't say anything
about splitting the character-data into pieces (and how this spliiting works (IMO it has anything to
do with 1024bytes of data but maybe I'm wrong)).
Is the splitting-behaviour a bug or is it a feature and we should consider the
concate-"workaround" to be the proper solution?
Also I'd suggest to change the way an alternate usage information is being provided in
PHP-functions documentation. Instead of "hiding" the information within a "Note"
I'd prefer to add another line under the "Description". (In this case it could be
something like: bool xml_set_character_data_handler ( resource parser, & object, method name).)
have a nice day
