Regarding the handy little function below: Doesn't gzread() effectively serve the same purpose, without the extra lines? Or is the "chunking" method faster? "gzread() reads up to length bytes from the given gz-file pointer. Reading stops when length (uncompressed) bytes have been read or EOF is reached, whichever comes first." ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.gzfile.php Edit -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=edit+52279 Delete: added to the manual -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+52279&report=yes&reason=added+to+the+manual Delete: bad code -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+52279&report=yes&reason=bad+code Delete: spam -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+52279&report=yes&reason=spam Delete: useless -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+52279&report=yes&reason=useless Delete: other reasons -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+52279&report=yes Reject -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=reject+52279&report=yes Search -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
