I think it is a better choice to do something like:
if(!strcmp(getenv('REQUEST_METHOD'), 'POST'))
than using isset ...
maybe even something like:
$vars_array = $GLOBALS['HTTP_' . getenv('REQUEST_METHOD') . '_VARS'];
