I have had absolutely no luck getting php to allow the instantiation of Java objects. I have
reinstalled time and time again, each time with a different configuration and had no luck.
I have tried every forum on the internet. It seems that everyone has the same problems, and no one
is having any success.
I have installed the PECL extensions and configured as per the instructions on this website (not to
mention tried using configurations from other sources that claim to have success), and STILL NO
LUCK!
The php-java bridge is not suitable for production because you must double-click the .jar file every
time you want to visit a page!
Is there anyone, ANYONE that has ANY clue how to make PHP behave? I am almost convinced that no one
has ever successfully configured PHP with Tomcat, nor Java.
Please, please, please, is there anyone with any REAL experience that can help me with this?
I am running PHP-5.0.2, Java SDK 1.5.0 and Apache Tomcat 5.5.7 on WindowsXP.
Much thanks,
Reid
