The best thing to do for resolve the inconvenient of including an
<?xml ........ ?>
in an xhtml file is to set to Off the 'short_open_tag' in the php.ini;
this is a good way to set the php interpreter, so all the php script must be in the form
<?php ****** ?>
and not in the short form.
