Just wanted to add this comment since I did not see anything mentioned about it in the documentation
or user notes.
I have recently successfully installed Apache 2.0.54, PHP 5.0.4, and MySQL 4.1.12 on a Redhat ES 3
system. Everything was working correctly until I tried to use SSL. I had to go back and recompile
Apache with configure --enable-so --enable-ssl. Then make, make install and created the keys and
purchased a certificate signed on my csr. Further, I had to edit the apachectl script so it would
start with ssl when it received the start, or restart arguments at boot time, then SSL worked fine.
Also I had to configure the PHP -with-zlib so the make completed without error.
