I am trying to read a value appended to the url <a href="../handbook/app2.php#app2?id=<?php print $p; ?>" and I am reading the corresponding value by the following code: <?php $pageName; $pageName = $_GET['id']; if( $pageName == 1){ do something.... } else { do something else... } ?> now i am not getting any value in my $pageName. But as soon as i remove the #app2 from the url ie make it : <a href="../handbook/app2.php?id=<?php print $p; ?>" it works fine. Can anyone help me by telling me how to retrieve the appended variable to the url that has bookmarks.
