Apache 2.0 + PHP 5.0.4 installation always bit me on the behind when I tried to enable extensions
like mhash and mcrypt.
The gotcha is the PHP 5 INSTALL file gets you to add a configuration directive to Apache like:
# For PHP 5 do something like this:
LoadModule php5_module "c:/php/php5apache2.dll"
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
# configure the path to php.ini
PHPIniDir "C:/php"
If c:\php isn't in your PATH, then you have issues, seemingly at random - it'll work on
one machine but not the other and is very frustrating.
What you really want, is the trailing slash, so that Apache actually knows it's a directory,
rather than a file.
PHPIniDir "C:/php/"
Hey presto, fixed!
