I did a little experimentation on the behaviour of auto_prepend_file as the order of access wasn't clear to me from the documentation. 1. Apache checks to see if the target file exists. 2. The prepend file is called 3. The target file is called This means that you can use auto_prepend_file to change the target file before you access it however you can't generate new files. ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/ini.core.php Edit -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=edit+54186 Delete: added to the manual -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+54186&report=yes&reason=added+to+the+manual Delete: bad code -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+54186&report=yes&reason=bad+code Delete: spam -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+54186&report=yes&reason=spam Delete: useless -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+54186&report=yes&reason=useless Delete: non-english -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+54186&report=yes&reason=non-english Delete: other reasons -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+54186&report=yes Reject -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=reject+54186&report=yes Search -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
