Cookies are pretty much meaningless in Firefox!
Firefox has an annoying feature which wipes out cookies if you close firefox. This means that
cookies only persist while the browser window is open. This seems to be the default setting in
Firefox, meaning if you want cookies to last after Firefox is closed, your out of luck for most of
Firefox users.
While this is handy for per-session cookies, regardless of what expiry date you put for your cookie,
it will be nuked when firefox is closed if the user has this feature enabled.
Firefox does have a "Keep cookies until they expire" rule, but his is not the default
value set and many users will probably not want to change it because of ignorance about how cookies
work and what information they contain.
