If you are having trouble getting PHP (under Windows) to communicate with MS SQL on another machine,
you can avoid an hour or two of debugging by remembering the MS SQL requirements (showin in this
manual: http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.mssql.php ).
I had forgotten the ntwdblib.dll, which must be loaded on the PHP server (under win32) to make MS
SQL connections.
Note: This will not show up as an error loading a DLL. PHP will simply report that it had an error
when attempting to connect to the SQL Server.
