Thought I'd post my findings of getting this to work: IIS 6.0 PHP 4.3.2 I could only get the solution <? $id = 473483478383834; session_id($id); session_start(); ?> to work if.... I didn't use a custom session handling class i.e. just used PHP native 'files' ** AND ** the above code was called at the script level (or include file) and *NOT* from a function or class method Hope this helps others from suffering (:oD
