One very-surprising(!) discovery...
When using CURL, I inadvertantly used the name CURL_POST instead of CURLOPT_POST. I would have
expected PHP to flag a syntax-error in this case, since (afaik) the identifier CURL_POST has no
meaning, but it didn't say a thing.
(The absence of "$" means that this is not a variable-name, and since there is no meaning
that I know of for this name I don't know quite what PHP thought "CURL_POST" was
supposed to be, nor why it thought the name was 'valid.')
Anyway... this "doh!!" problem cost me a lot of time and grief. I suppose that "PHP
is what PHP is," but do be on a special lookout for "tpyos" like these!
