Note Submitter: zmrzli_at_mindspring_dot_com ---- I've noticed that fopen (and fsockopen) fail when you try to open an url that's located on the same server where's the script that's doing the openning. In other words, the fopen in the script that's located in www.mydomain.com/myscript.php will fail if you try to open www.mydomain.com/index.htm. The same script will work fine if you try different url. Miro
