This tutorial does not insist much about permissions, and I would partially disagree with the last comment about setting your php files' permissions to 644. I just spent 3 hours checking all the forums I could because, as a beginner, I didn't have a clue my apache server required the php files to be executable. So, by default, chmod 755 sounds like a good tip for beginners. If you get a blank page, think about it before checking your code. ---- Submitter IP: 66.207.199.35 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/tutorial.firstpage.php Edit -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=edit+55326 Delete: added to the manual -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+55326&report=yes&reason=added+to+the+manual Delete: bad code -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+55326&report=yes&reason=bad+code Delete: spam -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+55326&report=yes&reason=spam Delete: useless -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+55326&report=yes&reason=useless Delete: non-english -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+55326&report=yes&reason=non-english Delete: other reasons -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+55326&report=yes Reject -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=reject+55326&report=yes Search -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
