Apache 2.0.54, Windows XP, Php 5.1
-------------------------------------------
In regards to fight4freedom2-live at yahoo dot com comments:
(A) I had no problems with leaving the trailing forward slash on or off - both work
(B) The reason why you need to put c:/php and c:/php/ext in the system variable path is because
extension DLLs can require loading of other DLLs stored in the c:/php directory.
For example:
PHP 5 does not load the php_mysql.dll by default. Failure to specify c:/php in the system path
will result in the mysql extension not loading. This is because php_mysql.dll loads libmysql.dll,
which resides in c:/php.
Additional tips to save you grief:
1) Always reboot to get the system variables in effect
2) Always restart Apache whenever making changes to PHP.INI as INI files are cached by Windows.
