note 56659 added to install.windows.apache2

Skype, Apache, and PHP A few days ago, Skype (which I've been quite pleased with till today) sent me an email saying: Hey, we've got a new Beta, wanna check it out. I installed on my Win XP Pro/Apache 2.0.53/PHP 5.1 system, and on a subsequent reboot, PHP/Apache no longer worked. Turns out there a Skype setting which allows Skype to communicate over (shanghai) port 80 (presumably for firewall type of issues), and if Skype gets to it first, Apache is the loser. I eventually found this by going to the bin directory of apache and typing apache at the command prompt - you get more info that way than trying to restart apache from the system tray.
