Another thing you will need, often overlooked but vitally important, is a Really Good Text Editor. If you don't already have a favourite, take a whole day or more to find one that meets your requirements and feels right. Whatever you choose, it will certainly need to be UTF-8 savvy, and capable of outputting UNIX, Mac and DOS linebreaks. Features like auto-indenting and code-folding are worth looking out for, too. have fun! ;o) (or ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/tutorial.php Edit -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=edit+56693 Delete: added to the manual -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+56693&report=yes&reason=added+to+the+manual Delete: bad code -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+56693&report=yes&reason=bad+code Delete: spam -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+56693&report=yes&reason=spam Delete: useless -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+56693&report=yes&reason=useless Delete: non-english -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+56693&report=yes&reason=non-english Delete: other reasons -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+56693&report=yes Reject -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=reject+56693&report=yes Search -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
