In response to the post by jon dot bertsch at ucop dot edu, it is possible to install both the FreeTDS libraries and the Sybase libraries. The problem is that the Sybase extension alias's its function names to the mssql_ functions. Take a look in your PHP source directory under /ext/sybase_ct/php_sybase_ct.c near the top where the sybase_functions[] declaration is. You can comment out the part that alias's the function names, recompile with FreeTDS and Sybase, and you're all set! ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.sybase.php Edit -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=edit+56892 Delete: added to the manual -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+56892&report=yes&reason=added+to+the+manual Delete: bad code -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+56892&report=yes&reason=bad+code Delete: spam -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+56892&report=yes&reason=spam Delete: useless -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+56892&report=yes&reason=useless Delete: non-english -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+56892&report=yes&reason=non-english Delete: already in docs -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+56892&report=yes&reason=already+in+docs Delete: other reasons -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+56892&report=yes Reject -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=reject+56892&report=yes Search -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
