Note Submitter: cesoid at yahoo dot com ---- I'm not one to argue unnecessary topics in notes of documentation, but the last entry is so needlessly demeaning and itself stupid in its own assumptions that I had to write something to draw attention to it so that hopefully both this entry, and most of the last one (save the script fragment) be deleted. "Don't you know that that is why REGISTER_GLOBALS was turned off by default, in the first place?" Doesn't "James" know that *what* is why REGISTER_GLOBALS was turned off? James does not suggest any reason for it to be turned off, making this a really stupid and needlessly abusive statement. Secondly, the last entry seems to think that "James" has control over the server he is using, which is stupid because sometimes that's not the case, sometimes you *can't* turn REGISTER_GLOBALS on. Thirdly, the entry completely ignores the fact that "James" already has a working script, it's hardly "lazy" to want it to run it without changing every POST variable from $variable to $_POST['variable']. While it is good advice to start writing scripts this way, it is asinine to pounce on this as laziness and totally ignore what James' is really talking about, which is a script that is *already written*. If you insult someone repeatedly (no matter how subtly or indirectly), without even understanding the basic premise of what they have written, it seems like you're not trying to be helpful, but just looking to boost your self-esteem by trashing someone else's comment.
