If you test your installation with phpinfo.php as documented, but don't store phpinfo.php in a
directory below your document root directory as defined in httpd.conf, e.g.
DocumentRoot "C:/Program Files/Apache Group/Apache/htdocs"
Apache will display html properly but will not execute php.
Moving phpinfo.php into a directory below docroot as defined in httpd.conf cures the problem.
