The sloppy excuses for removal of MySQL integration are good enough reason to stop using PHP
altogether. If you are going to unilaterally remove automatic integration for the most common
library PLEASE PROVIDE ADEQUATE INSTRUCTIONS TO REPAIR THIS SHORTCOMING. The current instructions
for integrating MySQL back into PHP5 are entirely inadequate.
