Note Submitter: alexanderhowell at gmail ---- Not sure here is the best place to put this, but I found the install.txt file bundled with latest windows version (NOT the installer exe) appalling.... the 'instructions for installation' didn't actually explain what was needed. I gathered some kind of registry changes were needed but wasn't told what to add or how, I was told about changing PATH to something or in something but was referred to a seperate FAQ page I couldn't find for advice. Logical steps, as far as they are possible, would be very helpful, or at least a simple verbose list of the minimum requirement of action for simple installation would be helpful. If the manual install is recomended by the creators of PHP then instructions facilitating this are neccesary. The Install.txt could be described as 'frustrating-' I simply gave up and used the exe. It maybe mean now my system is more inefficient or inseucre, but at least PHP has been installed at all.
