Just a quick show of the basics - a detail people often miss.
Your script will work if you do this:
<?php if(true){?>
<b>This shows up</b>
<?php }
if(false){?>
<b>This does not show up</b>
<?php }?>
This shows the HTML in Dreamweaver's preview, so it's ideal for editing, there's no
hinderance for long outputs, and of course, no quote escaping. The obvious annoyance is typing
<?php echo $variable;?> for variable outputs, but it's worth the ease of HTML editing
(plus Dreamweaver has an 'echo' shortcut in the PHP menu)
