note 58998 rejected from function.ereg-replace by dmytton

Note Submitter: dan dot forbert at hotmail dot com ---- I'm trying to format some output of code so that whenever a variable appears in the code, it is in a different color. example $var= would be replaced by <span class="blue">$var=</span> I've tried several things with preg_replace and eregi_replace but I can't seem to make it work. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks Dan
