Take note the following works in a web cgi environment, which may be a big security issue: a.php: <? include("b.php"); ?> b.php: <? $var = "<? echo('Hello World'); ?>"; echo($var); ?> output: Hello World Mine's installed with suPHP and PHP 5.0.4. Do not use include if your file to-be-included prints data from a publicly writable database (e.g. forum, blog.) It may cause potential cross-site-scripting issues. ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.include.php Edit -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=edit+59015 Delete: added to the manual -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+59015&report=yes&reason=added+to+the+manual Delete: bad code -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+59015&report=yes&reason=bad+code Delete: spam -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+59015&report=yes&reason=spam Delete: useless -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+59015&report=yes&reason=useless Delete: non-english -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+59015&report=yes&reason=non-english Delete: already in docs -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+59015&report=yes&reason=already+in+docs Delete: other reasons -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+59015&report=yes Reject -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=reject+59015&report=yes Search -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
