It took me long to understand how the SID was passed when cookies are disabled, and session.use_trans_sid set to 1. The doc says it passes through the URL, which is true, when there's no form in the page. In that case, you can see the SID in the URL. If the page contains a form, PHP automaticaly adds a hidden field it uses to pass the SID by POST. In that case, the SID is invisible in the URL. Hope it helps. ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.session.php Edit -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=edit+59026 Delete: added to the manual -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+59026&report=yes&reason=added+to+the+manual Delete: bad code -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+59026&report=yes&reason=bad+code Delete: spam -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+59026&report=yes&reason=spam Delete: useless -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+59026&report=yes&reason=useless Delete: non-english -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+59026&report=yes&reason=non-english Delete: already in docs -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+59026&report=yes&reason=already+in+docs Delete: other reasons -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+59026&report=yes Reject -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=reject+59026&report=yes Search -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
