Using winXp, I was trying to get statrted mySQL with PHP5..nothing above helps. Every time a was
trying to start Aapche2 with mysql extensions it failure on error - can't find ..dll.
So finally I copied libmysql.dll LIBMYSQL.dll from php install dir to windows\system32 and then it
started to work!
Hope my advice will be helpful for you too.
