I've been trying to implement therebechips method for uploading and storing large files into
the database in smaller chunks, but I am running into difficulties. Has anyone used this
successfully? And, if so, can you share the script you used?
I keep choking on the query string:
$query = "INSERT INTO fs_files_test (f_filename, f_type, f_size) VALUES(".
$DB->quote($name).", ".
$DB->quote($type).", ".
$DB->quote($size).
")";
I get the following error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in
/var/www/livesite/fileshare/file_process_alt.php on line 34
That's the $DB->quote($name) line. I don't understand this syntax. What is the quote()
function?
