Bear in mind that the benchmarks from the page http://www.webmasterstop.com/56.html appear to be
from (some time in) 2003, when PHP 4.3 was en vogue and PHP 5.0 was still only in beta.
And also, it's an exceedingly simple-minded test - creating 100 000 class objects to call a
single-line function; my objects don't look like that.
I guess what I'm saying is "profile your own code, not someone else's".
