I'm glad someone mentions further improvements apart the licensing issues! I'ld like to make a requested regarding connect/disconnect. One thing I really like about PDO is that, once initialized, I can passed it around to any application I want. However, if someone happens to the connection during it's lifetime, I couldn't find a way to simple "reconnect". Currently a PDO is always a one-shot connection. Because when passing around the PDO object you could omit the credentials which is nice, but then you need it again to reconnect if something happened. thanks, - Markus
