The good news is that SUN/MySQL has already started to write a ton of tests during the development of their update to PDO_MySQL [2]. However these tests obviously assume the default behavior of MySQL. This couldThat's the case for some of them. Some others, which I have not pushed into the php.net repository, are written in a more portable fashion. I did not push them into the php.net repository because I have not tested them with all the different drivers and databases. During development I ran those tests against SQLite, Postgres, DB2 Express, Oracle XE and MySQL. However, at some point I stopped spending time trying to make them 100% portable. I needed them for MySQL and no other databases. I offered them for the TestFest [1]. You can have them and take care of them, if you want. But I refuse to check them into the php.net repository. I won't "break" the test results for any driver but the MySQL PDO driver. Ulf [1] http://marc.info/?l=php-qa&m=120949456225995&w=2
