Edit report at http://pear.php.net/bugs/bug.php?id=15889&edit=1 ID: 15889 Updated by: borz_off@cs.msu.su Reported By: turek at ubka dot uni-karlsruhe dot de Summary: Let HTTP_Client use Net_URL2 if needed -Status: Open +Status: Wont fix Type: Feature/Change Request Package: HTTP_Client Operating System: any PHP Version: 5.2.8 Roadmap Versions: New Comment: -Status: Open +Status: Wont fix There is little sense in changing HTTP_Cllient for working with HTTP_Request2. New HTTP_Client for PHP5 is planned, though, once HTTP_Request2 itself is stable enough. Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2009-02-11 06:31:33] doconnor -Net_URL2 +HTTP_Request2 - need to extend _createRequest() ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2009-02-11 06:29:04] doconnor -Summary: HTTP_Client is unable to fetch URLs with multiple params of the same name +Summary: Let HTTP_Client use Net_URL2 if needed -Type: Bug +Type: Feature/Change Request Original description was too much of a duplicate of Bug #15640 - reworded + changed type ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2009-02-10 15:52:27] rabus Description: ------------ If you try to fetch a URL that contains multiple parameters of the same name in its query string, all parameters but the last are removed from the URL. This happens because of a bug in Net_URL (see bug #15640) that is marked as "won't fix". As far as I know, there's nothing wrong about having multiple parameters with the same name. For instance, Apache Solr (a Lucene-based search server) is working with such parameters: http://wiki.apache.org/solr/SimpleFacetParameters "facet.field: This parameter can be specified multiple times to indicate multiple facet fields." If you scroll down to the examples, you will find several URLs that won't work with HTTP_Client. Test script: --------------- require_once('HTTP/Client.php'); $httpClient = new HTTP_Client(); $httpClient->get('http://localhost/print_url.php?foo=1&foo=2'); // print_url.php: // echo $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI']; $response = $httpClient->currentResponse(); echo $response['body'] . "\n\n"; Expected result: ---------------- /print_url.php?foo=1&foo=2 Actual result: -------------- /print_url.php?foo=2 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at http://pear.php.net/bugs/bug.php?id=15889&edit=1
