For this exact single change: - upgrade pear from cvs
I first didnt have xmlrpc enabled. When updating from CVS directly using the package-PEAR.xml in the 1.3 branch it properly complained about the lack of the xmlrpc extension. When I added the xmlrpc extension it complained that I already have the most recent version of PEAR (maybe a good idea to bump the version number in CVS). When I forced the upgrade it worked flawless.
- Deinstall pear::XML_RPC (you have to force it)
Actually I did not need to force it. Which makes sense since my PEAR version doesnt require XML_RPC anymore.
- try all command you can and/or run the tests
I started an install of MDB2-beta and all worked well .. list-upgrades properly showed nothing to upgrade. remote-list gave me a nice list with all pear/pecl packages regards, Lukas
