Wouldn't it be better to have a site specific config committed to SVN instead? f.e. bugs.php.net.config.php, pear.php.net.config.php ? And picked up by current hostname? :)
That will work for live sites, but not for test environments without providing a method to override. Hard-coding the config works for a small number of sites, but is unacceptable if others were ever to use this Bugtracker. I doubt everyone wants their database details in the svn repo.
The idea is that you do NOT commit that test config of course. --Jani
